如果你要描述（過去）所去過的地方，那你前面應該要接上主詞才合文法

你不能直接說＂is beautiful / was beatiful 因為前面必須要階主詞。
如果你說＂He is beautiful" 這就表示【他（現在）長的很漂亮】
如果你說＂He was beautiful"則是在描述【他（過去）長的很漂亮】

你在描述他以前長的很漂亮，但它現在長得很醜，這時你就要用過去式。

例如：She was beautiful before<--（Before是時間副詞）
But She are ugly right now

【他以前長的很漂亮，但是她現在長的很醜】

（去過的某個地方）是在講所去過的經驗
通常都會用 have

He has ever seen that birdie before＂她以前曾經看過那隻小鳥＂
因為這句是講過去看過的經驗。

He has ever gone to the hospital to visit her mother
＂她曾經去醫院拜訪她的母親＂

因為這句也是在講（過去）去過的地方，還有看過她的經驗。

但要記得gone的後面要接to文法才正確。
