《美國經濟》初領失業金34萬人低於預期

美國勞工部5月23日公佈，經季節調整後，截至5月18日為止當週，首次申請失業救濟金人數較前週上修值363,000減少23,000人至340,000人。根據彭博社與道瓊斯通訊社的調查，經濟學家的預估值為34.5萬人。上週首次申請失業救濟金人數的4週移動平均值較前週修正值減少500人至339,500人。

截至5月11日為止當週，經季節調整後，連續申請失業救濟金人數較前一週的修正值減少112,000人至2,912,000人，創2008年3月以來新低。當週連續申請失業救濟金人數的4週移動平均值較前一週的修正值減少23,750人至2,995,250人。截至5月11日為止當週，經過季節性因素調整後的保險失業率較前週持平為2.3%。

彭博社報導，穆迪分析公司資深經濟學家Ryan Sweet表示，初領失業金人數的下滑一直以來是美國經濟數據當中表現較佳也相對穩定的，可惜的是就業的增長較為疲弱。道明證券（TD Securities USA LLC）經濟學家Millan Mulraine此前表示，美國經濟的現況就是增長緩慢，除非等到需求面真正出現改善，否則勞動市場的數據仍可能搖擺不定。
