基本上是 XF1 的升級版：沿用同樣的鏡頭，但感光元件升級為具有混合式對焦功能的1200萬畫素 2/3" X-Trans II CMOS

取消了之前 XF1 特有的轉鏡開機模式，改回較為傳統的機頂電源開闢
背帶環由 XF1 的單邊改為雙邊
除此之外最大的差別在於添加了 Wi-Fi 的功能
