陽光助印度首創燒傷康復中心

根據世界衛生組織統計，印度每年有超過百萬名燒傷病人，其中8成是婦女與兒童；兩年來，陽光基金會與印度當地婦女團體展開聯繫，今年4月首度在印度清奈建立第一間燒傷康復中心，幫助燒傷婦女重建自信，預計3年內，將可幫助當地500名燒傷婦女。

陽光基金會表示，印度婦女因燒傷致死比率高達6成5，加上當地醫療資源有限，即使存活下來，也可能造成器官功能障礙，需要不斷重建手術。前年起，陽光與當地婦女團體合作，傳授燒傷生理復健與心理重建的專業技術與模式，透過復健免除手術痛苦，並恢復基本生活能力。
